Sleeper Picks for Fantasy Football

Sleeper QB’s

  1. Josh Allen (Bills) – He showed promise his rookie year. He loves to run but his accuracy was and is the biggest question. Now the question do you take a chance on him? I wouldn’t take him as your main QB but as a backup.
  2. Derrick Carr (Raiders)– last season Carr put up his career best completion % very quietly. Now he has AB and Tyrell Williams are there. Something to think about when needing a QB.*
  3. Jimmy Garoppolo (49ers)– We didn’t get to see much of him last season due to ACL tear. He did receive double digit points before the injury.
  4. Marcus Mariotta (Titans)– Im not for sure if he is a sleeper but people do ignore his talent. He would be a good back up qb. He needs Walker to stay healthy and Corey Davis to finally show his talent and shine.
  5. Sam Darnold (Jets)– Last year he didn’t look completely horrible. He did have 15 ints but this season things should change for him. With a new head coach Adam Gase , a new OC and QB coach he should be better. Gase helped Peyton while he was with the Broncos. Besides coaches they added another wr Jamison Crowder as well have a new RB Le’Veon Bell.

Sleeper RB’s

  1. Derrius Guice (Redskins)– Despite tearing his ACL last preseason he still predicted to have a great season for the Skins. He will be behind AP so don’t draft him as a starter. Him staying healthy is the main thing.
  2. Ronald Jones (Buccaneers)– Last year he was a complete dud. This year maybe different new year, new coach. In the off-season he did add some muscle. The new coaches are loving him at camp.
  3. Ito Smith (Falcons)– Now that Tevin Coleman is gone. He will be number two behind Devonta Freeman. He avg 3.5 ypc but I think it will improve greatly.
  4. David Montgomery (Bears)– Rookie from Iowa St. Everyone has high hopes for this kid. He will be with Cohen who gets touches and receptions. But he will be needed now that Jordan Howard is with the Eagles.
  5. Tony Pollard (Cowboys)– Rookie with Zeke possibly missing games. Who will back him up. Right, now Tony is having a great camp. He is a versatile RB. At Memphis last year his career is avg 6.8 ypc and career 1292 rec yards. They also have Mike Weber (Zeke’s roommate in college) he was seventh round pick.

Sleeper WR’s

  1. Kenny Galladay (Lions) – Kenny is entering his third season with the Lions. He had over a 1k yards with 5td to go along with it. Yes, he did get this time because Marvin Jones and Kerryon Johnson were hurt. Now that Theo is gone now, and Kearse did get injuries during the preseason game.
  2. James Washington (Steelers)– Washington’s preseason game vs TB may have increased his stock. Washington in my opinion will benefit greatly with AB now in Oakland. Teams will double team JuJu now and he could make an impact that the Steelers are looking for. I can see Washington and Juju both with 1k yards.
  3. Geronimo Allison (Packers)– Allison started off hot last season but couldn’t stay healthy the reason of the season. Now that Cobb is in Dallas, Allison has to step up. He will be used in the slot spot this season. If he can stay healthy this can be a great pickup for someone.
  4. DJ Moore/Curtis Samuel (Panthers)– Both of these young receivers are getting rave reviews in camp this season. Both are going to be needed this season since the whole world knows that McCaffery is a beast and teams will try to do everything in their power to stop him. This will leave one of these two players open.
  5. Anthony Miller (Bears)– Miller is entering his sophomore year with the Bears. He will be used in the slot position. With Taylor Gabriel and former Jax Allen Robinson. Robinson has a history of not staying healthy these last couple of seasons. This could help Miller to get more touches. With his skills and Mitch to improve what he did last season. Miller could be a great pickup.

Sleeper TE’s

  1. Austin Hooper (Falcons)– Last season Hooper had one of the best seasons in his career. This hidden gem should benefit from everyone trying to stop Julio and Calvin. This should leave him open with more opportunities to get the ball. Also, with a new OC in ATL I expect his numbers to go up.
  2. Vance McDonald (Steelers)- Another player that will benefit from AB departure is Vance. Also, with Jesse James not on the team anymore. His numbers could soar if the other wr’s and Juju can’t get open. He was Big Ben’s favorite target in the third down situations.
  3. C.J. Uzomah (Bengals)– Uzomah will not be a starter at the beginning of the season. But we all know how fragile Eifert can be. If he goes down, he will be the man in that position.
  4. Chris Herndon (Jets)- Although he is suspended the first four games because of his DWI. I still think he will have a productive year. Last season he had 500 yards with four td’s his first season. In need of a backup after week four Herndon could be a guy you are looing for.
  5. Jordan Reed (Redskins)- The main factor for Reed’s career is for him to stay healthy. If you need a TE for your bye week. Reed can do that for your team. Especially if you are in a PPR.
